We have relocated to Las Cruces NM! It's so beautiful here. Travis just unpacked his drums, now I've got to get him back into lessons. I have a few leads. My daughter-in-law is the event planner for The City of Las Cruces & gave us a lead & of course Neil from Academy of Drums gave us another. Well if you ever come out this way let us know! We be chillin' at the desert!

you probably already know about bluesbunny.com, but check out what they say about Big Baby Ernie! They just came back from across the Pond. Their drummer is Bryan from The Drum Academy. Evidently they were a big hit, it was said they are, "Muscianship of the Highest Order!" & "The Real Deal for Sure." Thought you might check it out.

I most certainly do know "Bright Moments!" In fact, RahsaanRoland Kirk is one of my all-time favorite musical hero's. I sent an e-mail to neilkrane@aol.com about your flute, but I haven't gotten a response yet. Was it expensive and are they available for us common folk? :) BTW, the beginning Latin phrase you played with Ricardo sounded very familiar, what was that? To me, it sounded like a traditional Montuno line...? Also, I ordered some of your CDs and I'mlooking forward to hearing more and I hope you get around to making that DVD too.

I was pleasantly surprised after purchasing the DVD you did with Ricardo Munzon, "Basic Afro-Cuban Rhythms...." The salsa duet with you at the end of the DVD was awesome! I also play flutes and percussion. I was curious to know if you have a DVD on playing the flute, especially for Jazz and Latin music? Hope you are well and safe. BTW, love that Matit flute of yours too.

Hi Matt,
I wanted to let you know I got Travis the Berkely Practice Method for Drummers & he is enjoying it tremendously! He won't see his Teacher Neil until after Labor Day because of the Drum Academy moving to Fischer Blvd., but he can't wait to show him what he's been doing!
I wish when we were in Connecticut about a month ago we could have looked you up so Travis could meet you, but our plans to go to Boston were changed when the tragedy with the tunnel happened, so we stayed in Mystic till our vacation was over.

I Know you with the keay jazz rhytm book/CD witch is my bible flute, and with a CD with the harpist Pomeranz.
I like very much your sound effect when you play jazz, and I studie flute trying to approach your music style.

Hello Matt!! Im Noah, from Mexico (alto sax player). I have enjoyed two xalapa jazfests (2004 & 2005) and I learned a lot with your lessons and ensembles. I'm still working with many topics you teach us. This year I could not go to the seminar, I had a lot of work here, but next year i hope to see you again. For the present I continue learning of the videos that I should record in your classes, jeje. Thanks for all, you are a terrific teacher! For now "BASTA CON LA PASTA" (like you said jeje).
